Tobi Blue - Owner

Tobi has been working with young children for over 28 years. She has her Masters in Learning Disabilities and Education degree, specializing in educating the primary ages. She is also an involved mom to four amazing children!  As well, she is a Vice Principal and grade five teacher at a local school. She surrounds herself with children and obviously really loves them!

She also understands the demands of being a very busy parent trying to manage all aspects of life. To Tobi, a proper caring environment that opens up learning opportunities for our young children is the most important piece in helping our young learners develop to become great students one day! It’s our goal to make sure Seedlings Daycare provides individual care to each child, that is safe, an ‘almost home’ feel with a play centered approach for your children!

Angela Hutton - Manager and Head Teacher

Angela Hutton is Seedlings head teacher and manager of Seedlings daycare program.  She believes that Bev Bos can sum up her philosophy in practice, “ Learning is not a race of information but a walk of discovery.” Angela views childcare through the framework of this particular quote and is inspired and excited by the acknowledgment that all children belong. There is a freedom and invitation to grow, learn and explore at each persons own pace. What an amazing gift to be given.

Some of Angela's personal interests that she brings to her profession are her love of nature, music, and gardening coupled with an adventurous spirit. She prefers to think outside the box and find humour in the most unlikely moments. Flexibility and creative problem solving are two strong attributes that she brings to her workplace. Angela is quickly inspired by the sound of heavy rain, warm sunshine, and all the colours of fall on a crisp morning.

Angela looks for opportunities to share a favourite storybook, silly rhyme or moments of dancing through a sea of freshly blown bubbles. After twenty plus years in the field of Early Childhood Education, her joy for exploring along side the children as they grow and learn has not faded and she savours the opportunity to share in many more years of learning with them.
